Ordering Information
Ordering is easy with the handy and secure shopping cart on our web site! Find the item(s) that you want and add them to the shopping cart. To check and see what you have added to your cart, click "View Cart". To submit your order, you must click on the "Checkout" link. Your shipping charges will be calculated upon shopping cart submission. Shipping and handling fees typically range from 12-14% of your order total. When "Free Shipping" is offered for a product, it will be indicated in the shopping cart. Please note that this does not apply to shipments outside of the Continental US. Shipments outside the Continental US will be charge a higher shipping rate and may incur customs duties at delivery which are the customer's responsibility.
When you click the "Checkout" link, you will be prompted to fill out billing and shipping information, as well as method of payment, to process your transaction. GI Designs accepts American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, PayPal, or checks for mail-in payment. All sensitive information is submitted through our SECURE order page and orders are never authorized "live" on-line. Any applicable discounts will automatically be deducted upon completion of the order process. If you would prefer to place your order over the phone, you can reach us directly through our toll free number during normal business hours.
We offer door-to-door delivery for most orders. For freight deliveries, we offer door-to-curb service. If you need freight services, such as Inside Delivery or Lift Gate service, these can be provided at an additional charge. TIME TO SHIP:
Your order will be shipped within 1-3 business days from our warehouse location in Denver, CO. We make every effort to ship your order in a timely manner, with a one day turnaround, if possible. Typical transit time is 3-5 business days to your location. We will notify you of any exceptions or delays in ship time.
Shipping time will vary depending on the products ordered. Items such as weathervanes and lighting normally ship within 2-3 business days, whereas larger items (i.e. furniture, cupolas, etc.) may take 2-6 weeks, as they will be shipped to you directly from the artist or vendor. In such cases, a deposit of 50% of the order total will be required at order placement. The remaining balance will be charged when the item ships.

OTHER SHIPPING INFORMATION:
All items noted for free shipping are shipped DHL Ground or via the US Postal Service or FedEx inside the Continental U.S. Only. Oversize and freight items will ship via common freight carrier. You will be notified of all tracking information pertaining to your order.
If you are located outside the Continental US, we will notify you of the extra shipping charges before payment is collected. We do not quote customs/duties to Countries outside the US as we are not equipped to do so. If you are shipping to a location outside of the US, please contact your local Customs Agent Office for information on any duties, taxes or levies due.
You, our customer, is responsible to note any visible damages at time of delivery and/or damage to product and notify the carrier and GI Designs the same day of delivery. Please refuse any visibly damaged packages/merchandise if needed. If a claim has to made with the delivery carrier, all original packing materials are to be saved, including the outside crate/box so that the delivery carrier may make an inspection and/or pick up in order to pay a damage claim.
RETURNS & WARRANTY:
We want you to be happy with your purchase! If you, or a gift recipient, are not satisfied, please notify us within 30 days of delivery, you MUST let us know that you will be returning your order. We will make all necessary arrangements at that time. At Christmas time we will allow up to 40 days for returns. A full refund, including shipping charges, will be given for defective merchandise.
For reasons other than defects in manufacturing, shipping charges will not be refunded. All merchandise that is damaged in transit MUST be noted by you at time of delivery to e delivery carrier driver (see paragraph above please).
From time of purchase, we offer a full one year warranty on all of our products against manufacturers' defects. This warranty does not include misuse or negligence of any instructions not followed by purchaser.
For orders over $500 that are returned, there may be a restocking fee of up to 30% applied.

Unlike some competitors' sites, GI Designs never sets advertiser's "cookies" on your computer to track your online movements or gather information about you. In fact, we accept no advertising on our website at all! The only "cookies" obtained through GIDesigns.net are from either PayPal or our own shopping cart system to process your order.
We NEVER accept online advertisements from any outside company! We respect your privacy and do not want you to be a victim of unwanted, annoying spam e-mail. The only "cookie" set is asked for upon entering our secure server to place your online order from our shopping cart. This is requested to protect your sensitive information. You also have the option of calling or faxing us your order directly.

Many e-mail viruses are opened on PCs' and use the owners' address book to send out e-mail's using other companies' and individuals' e-mail addresses as aliases. This makes it look as though these e-mail are being sent from someone legitimately but they are not. Please click "Source" for each message with an attachment to find out who the real sender is.
